About the book
A Simple Line Can Become Anything
The Squiggle Elf introduces children to the joy of transforming one playful line into a picture and then building an entire story around it.
After reading the book, draw a squiggle on a blank page and let the creative ideas begin. The line may become an animal, a magical character, a place, an object, or something wonderfully unexpected.
Once the drawing is complete, the child writes or tells a story inspired by the picture. Before bedtime, the creation is left out for the Squiggle Elf, who may respond with a note, a joke, a sticker, or some squiggle art of their own.
Every Squiggle Elf experience is unique—just like every child and every story.
